Maybe it was her fault all along, she perched him so high. She was so sure, so steady of his worth. His pedestal, nigh untouchable, floated leisurely and securely above the others in her care. She thought her reasons were sound, legitimate; he so obviously deserved her recognition. It was in his image, his honor, his prowess, that she all deemed worthy. He was always so solid, so in control of his emotions, his surroundings. What woman wouldn't fall infatuated under his simmering flames of restrained power? She did not know it at the time, but her Hero Complex for the Pro-bender had already manifested itself subconsciously; its f
"I could just carry you back to the island." Mako said as he helped the waterbender hobble along the street.
"No!" Korra huffed, completely out of breath. "I can do this. I just I just need to take a breather." She leaned on Mako and slammed her good foot in the ground. A chunk of rock came up out of the ground and she sat down, laying her crutch on the ground.
"Your stomach still hasn't fully healed yet, has it?" he accused her harshly. She wrapped an arm around her middle and gasped for air.
"Of of course it has," she breathed heavily. The firebender raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms.
"Oh really? Then why are

He didn't get why everyone seemed to be so happy at the end of the school day, he couldn't help but feel uneasy. He couldn't keep his head still as it kept whipping from side to side, looking for her. After the assembly, he tried to ambush her at the door but the crowd of impatient students kept pushing and shoving him out, making him lose his site of her.
He was leaning against the wall outside the front door of his school with his arms crossed and impatient obviously written all over his face. His eyes were being kept busy with looking out for when she walked out.
"Hey Mako, what was that assembly about?" He heard a familiar vo
Mako was running through the air temple walls making every step echo back to him. Bolin and Asami were far behind him. Mako could hear them saying 'wait' 'slow down' he didn't listen he ran faster. He went up stairs and stopped in front of a door. He balled his hand into a fist and rigorously knocked on the door, he opened the door. He saw Tenzin kneeling down towards a bed. Pema and Tenzin both looked at him as he slowly walked towards the bed. He looked down at the girl laying in the bed.
"Hey cool guy."
Korra weakly chuckled then cringed in pain, putting her useful arm on her stomach and clutching.
"Korra, please
Ring.
The bell echoed through the hallway to tell the students to go to their last class of the day.
"So what are you going about you and Korra's situation?" His little brother asked him as he pushed the library glass door open.
"I don't know. I think I'm going to try to catch her on her way home. She has to listen to me then." He explained as he fixed his messenger bag strap.
"I guess that would work, but wouldn't she just try to run away?" His green eyed brother asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I'll chase her if she does." He said with a shrug.
He tried to listen to his Economics teacher lecture the class about today's lesson, but he cou
There was about a week left before the big tournament. The Fire Ferret boys and Korra were having a boot camp that was completely packed with training with very little breaks in between. They practiced early in the morning and continued late into the night. Although she detested waking up early, Korra dragged herself out of her warm bed for several reasons. Spending the entire day with Mako without Asami around was more than enough to get her moving. Another force that drove her to show up for practice everyday was the will to win, the urge to pound Tahno and his team into dust, and need to wipe that smug smirk off his face.
